Weekly Programme Winter

Also in winter we offer an interesting weekly programme to our guests. We invite you to experience the winter in the Pitztal in all its different facets far away from the busy ski slopes.

TUESDAY

9:00-12:00 am: Trial course ice climbing in the Taschach canyon

After having adjusted the crampons we are only a few steps away from climbing in a fantastic ice world. You learn how to deal with the equipment and how to climb in steep ice.

13:00-16:00: Glacier hike with snowshoes to the Mittelbergferner ice caves

Away from the hustle and bustle of the piste, we move across untracked terrain to the imposing Mittelbergferner. Here we explore the millennia-old ice. An instructive, leisurely hike for connoisseurs.

Ski tour to your first three-thousand metre peak!

With steady steps we move up into the spectacular world of the 3000 metre peaks. The impressions you gain here will give you pleasure for a long time to come. Ideal for beginners and advanced skiers!

Freeride fun at the Pitztal Glacier

Step by step, we head into open terrain to experience the fascination of freeriding. For this programme you should already have some off-piste experience and be equipped with wider freeride skis.

20:00-22:00: Evening hike into the mystical Taschach Gorge

A highlight for every Pitztal visitor. Equipped with headlights we walk through this fascinating canyon of snow, rock and ice. Later we go to the "Pitztaler Skihütte", a pub, where we get a hot wine. Then we go back to the village on toboggans.

The highlight: Ski tour to the Wildspitze, the Top of Tirol, 3770 m

The highlight of the week is the summit ski tour to the Wildspitze. We pass one of the biggest icefalls of the Eastern Alps, pass the Brochkogel and reach the ski depot at the beginning of the southwest ridge. Then we climb the easy ridge and get to the summit with the impressive cross.

Saturday

Ice climbing & tobogganing

After a cool tobogganing run we reach the ice waterfall in the stone pine forest of Jerzens. Here you learn how to climb in the steep ice with the correct technique. This activity is very family friendly!

All prices include a mountain guide and are valid with a minimum of 4 participants.

Registration is necessary on the previous day of the tour until 5:00 pm.
