The Linke Fernerkogel is a great summit for alpinists, not only in summer. In winter it offers a great ski tour with fantastic downhill opportunities. Furthermore, due to the Pitztal Glacier Express the vertical metres up are kept within a moderate limit.
Price applies for 1-2 persons. Each additional person +10%.
At the top station of the Glacier Express we put on the skis and ski down approx. 200 vertical metres on the ski slope until we reach the Mittelbergferner glacier. Now we put on the skins and start the ascent. First we reach the saddle at 3,155 m. The we climb up the steep north faced hanging glacier to the summit.
Descent via the same way or we ski down the north faced hanging glacier in often good snow conditions.
FITNESS: fitness for 3-4 h and 550 vertical metres up and 1,600 vertical metres down
TECHNIQUE: kick turns, safe skiing in all snow conditions
