Awesome high alpine panorama at the Geigenkamm mountain range.

Highest point is the Wassertalkogel 3.247 m (with the fixed bivouac “Rheinland-Pfalz”). First we climb to the col of Weißmaurachjoch, then on a trail with fixed ropes on the east side of Puitkogel to the Wassertalkogel. Then we follow the beautiful ridge to the Pitztaler Jöchl pass, where we already see our final destination, the Braunschweiger hut.

Summit tour to the queen of the Geigenkamm mountain range. Amazing views during the whole tour.

First on the marked trail to “Gahwinden”. Then we climb the west ridge in easy bloc terrain (grade II UIAA) to the summit at 3395 m. Descent via the normal route.

For alpinists with a very good physical fitness.

First we follow the forest road to the Arzler Alm pasture. Then on the trail to the Totenkar couloir. We pass steep bloc terrain and get to the Totenkar glacier where we find the entry of the ice gully. We climb up the gully and get to the summit. Descent on the same way.

After 1 hour we leave the marked trail and change the direction to the Rostizkogel. Then we pass pathless terrain and go via a moraine ridge to the start of the Löcherferner glacier. We follow the glacier until we reach its most northern point. Next, we climb a snow ridge or a boulder field and reach the summit. Descent on the same way.

Nice alpine glacier tour.

We start at the Taschach hut and go over the Sechsegerten glacier. We have to tackle two steeper sections. We pass beautiful seracs and crevasses and later we get to the summit via easy terrain.

A summit with a noticeable firn cap at the southeast shoulder.

From the Taschach hut the way leads us via moraines, boulder and bloc terrain first to the firn cap and then to the summit which is little frequented. A nice view to the Wildspitze.
